In Memory of those we have lost
GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN...
To my best friend of 18 years, who was by my side through good times and bad, who listened when I spoke and snuggled when I cried. "Kitten" you were the best friend anyone could have. Your bright green eyes will be missed sorely. I will see you again someday, my friend.
WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER....
At the age of 2, I brought Arthur home. He was a rescue, a Long Haired German Shepherd male. But, in fact, he rescued me. Got him during my painful divorce period, and he tought me to love and trust all over again. He came to my rescue a couple of times (did not make the mailman very happy when he came through my picture window to protect me...oops). He loved unconditionally, watched over my boys and just loved life! HIs favorite toys were frisbees, one of which was the garbage can lid. He aged gracefully, survived a stroke, then age took its toll. We will miss your beautiful face and look know someday we will see you again. In the meantime, Art, take care of Mom and Kitten.
"India" is what you get when you cross a rottweiler with a springer spaniel. The jury is still out on this cross! Not really, big coward but sweet dog.
"Yoda" (black kitten...see the resemblance) and "furball" (for lack of a better name) are the two new arrivals in the Bert-Witters household. They have already taken over the house.
Chamois is the newest addition to the zoo. Yellow lab with lots of energy and love. Good thing she is cute so she will survive her puppyhood!
This website is dedicated to the memory of my mother, Rosie, who lost a courageous battle with cancer. Being of Native American descent both my parents donated generously to a Colorado Native American Orphan Center. Moms love for her family is unparalleled as was her love for nature. She respected the land and wildlife with the same values as the Native Americans. Her particular passion was wolves and she was a contributor to several wolf organizations. She and my Father shared a love like no other, they are soul-mates for life. As parents, they sacrificed greatly to allow me to live out my fantasy as a little girl by blessing me with my first horse. I only hope she can see my pasture full of "beauty" and enjoy my horses as much as I do. May she soar with the eagles, run with the wolves and guide my path with the vision of the osprey from "Wanagiyata" (Lakota for spiritland). We love and miss you Mom!
The Wildlife
Yes, life has been a bit "wild" raising two boys, but well worth the challenge. No the picture to the left is not an ad for Captain Morgan but a darned good immitation!

My oldest (yellow shirt) Eric is a musician and artist. Girls...he is single and he can serenade you.

My youngest (cowboy hat) Nick is kind of a jack of all things. And yep..hes available too!
They Rest of the "Critters"
THE ETERNAL LAP CAT...
Misty will best be remembered by her love of laps. The minute you sit down, she was in your lap looking for love. She would sit there all day if you let her. She was a sweet cat to those who knew her, backed down from nothing, survived 2 weeks in the wood with the coyotes. She lived a good long life and I hope she is up there keeping Moms lap warm now.
